Sex-Positive Book Club originally ran from January 2021 through August 2023. Now, it’s back from hiatus — with a brand-new structure, fresh titles, a group for parents & caregivers, and more.

For Everyone
We’ll read a mix of fiction and non-fiction, all focused on sexuality, bodies, gender, relationships, communication, and how we move through the world. If you want the biggest variety of titles, the “regular/mixed title” group is the group for you!
Meeting dates have been set through August 2026.
We will meet every other month, beginning in October 2025. If you can’t make the live meeting, don’t stress — you can catch the recording or stay in touch in the community space.
For Caregivers
We’ll focus on a mix of guides for caregivers & parents, plus books for young people of all ages. We’ll focus on bodies, gender, boundaries, communication, and more — the same topics, just specifically chosen for people who are wanting to raise curious kids.

Frequently Asked Questions
How often does book club meet?
Book club meets every other month: October 2025, December 2025, February 2026, April 2026, June 2026, and August 2026. Future dates will be set in April 2026.
How long are meetings?
Usually between an hour and fifteen minutes to an hour and a half. It depends on how chatty the group is that day! You can always come late or leave early if you need to — we’re a chill bunch.
What is the book club membership fee?
If you are in the United States, you have two options: book packages delivered to you, or BYOB (bring your own book). The regular option is $39/meeting, and the BYOB section is $20/meeting.
If you join both the parenting section and the regular section, you can get a reduced fee of $70 for the regular sections, and $40 for the BYOB sections.
If you are outside of the United States, you are able to enroll in the BYOB option, which is $20 USD per meeting (every other month).
You can cancel or pause your membership at any time.
What other resources do we get?
With your book club membership, you get:
- The book (if receiving packages)
- Facilitated meetings and guided discussions
- An online community space with your new book club besties
- Weekly discussion prompts and journal questions
- Occasional bonus gifts (if receiving packages)
Can I join if I’m not in the United States?
Yes! You’ll select the BYOB option at sign-up.
Am I required to attend the meetings?
If you need to miss a meeting, that’s totally fine. We’re a relaxed group! That being said, members who attend the meetings have the most fun. I won’t call on you or make you speak up — just participate at your own comfort level.
I was a member of book club before the hiatus. Will we be repeating previous books?
Nope! We’ll be covering all-new titles — even in the parents/caregivers group.
